About American Mobile Home Communities

AMHC Management, L.L.C. is a family owned company headquartered in Barrington, Illinois. Our organization operates 15 manufactured home communities owned through a number of limited liability companies. The company was founded in 1974, although our predecessor company dates back to 1969.

Principal Officers

Irwin R. Shechtman, co-founder of the company, is chief executive officer. He is an attorney and a certified public accountant and has experience in many fields of real estate in addition to manufactured home communities. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois and Harvard Law School.

Steven Goldman, co-founder of the company, is senior counsel. He is an attorney and has experience in many fields of real estate in addition to manufactured home communities. He is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School.

Bradley W. Shechtman, a co-owner of our affiliated companies, oversees the company’s properties in Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. He has been with the company for 18 years.  He is also a licensed attorney and a real estate broker.

Matt Shechtman, a co-owner of our affiliated companies, oversees the company's properties in Wisconsin. He has been with the company for 17 years.  He holds a business degree and is also a licensed attorney.
